Reunion Accommodations

Off-campus accommodations
The following hotels, located less than three miles from Worcester State University, offer reunion class members a discounted rate for overnight accommodations on Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21, 2016. We recommend that you reserve a room as soon as possible, as this is a busy weekend for area colleges and hotels book up quickly.

Courtyard Marriott
72 Grove St., Worcester, MA
To make reservations call 508-363-0300 and mention Worcester State University in order to receive a reduced rate.

Hilton Garden Inn
35 Major Taylor Blvd., Worcester, MA
To make reservations call 1-800-445-8667 and mention Worcester State University in order to receive a reduced rate.

On-campus accommodations
$35 per person/per night
On-campus housing accommodations are available to all reunion class members in the new state-of-the-art Sheehan Hall. Named in recognition of Lt. Col. James F. Sheehan, USMC (ret.) ’55’s outstanding generosity to his alma mater, Sheehan Hall provides alumni with the convenience of staying on-campus and close to all of the weekend’s events.

Typical suites in Sheehan Hall contain two double bedrooms (twin extra-long beds), a shower area, a bathroom, and a small common area. Each alumnus/a (and their guest if applicable) requesting overnight on-campus accommodations will be housed in their own private suite, unless requested otherwise, and therefore will have their own bathroom. Rooms are cleaned prior to guest check-in and after guest check-out at the conclusion of their stay.

All suites are air conditioned and are furnished with basic essentials such as bed linens (including a very light blanket), a disposable pillow, one bath towel, and two face cloths. Other items you may need, such as an alarm clock, extra towels, a heavy blanket, hangers, or toiletries, should be brought with you.

Because this is a residence hall suite and the students will not be on-campus, there are not televisions or telephones in the suites. Guests will have access to the wireless internet and there are televisions in the common areas of Sheehan Hall.

Formal reservations for on-campus housing can be made using the Reunion Brochure or online at in April 2017. For more information on on-campus housing during Reunion Weekend, please contact Tara Hancock at 508-929-8869 or

After 34 years teaching in the Wachusett Regional School District,I have retired to Cape Cod and work as real estate agent at Real Estate Associates in Falmouth.  Please call me if you're interested in buying or selling a home on the Cape.  I can be reached at 774-239-2797.

From: Brien Dyer
I'm very much looking forward to our reunion. I don't know where I'd be if Worcester State hadn't taken me in (at the last minute, too). Although, unfortunately, I have had little contact over the years, I'll always appreciate the warmth and caring I experienced from our great college, a feeling that I still carry with me. I thank the college, faculty, and my classmates for the honor of knowing you! Brien
